Bob Dylan wins a Pulitzer
The citation for the 66-year-old Dylan noted his "profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power."
Certain acts, Dylan and Neil Young come to mind, come around at exactly the right time in history where a person of limited talent and a lousy voice can become a legend. I don't get why either of them are popular, and never will.

"The ghost of electricity howls in the bones of her face . . . "
Poetry, certainly. And this is not an isolated and unrepresentative snippet of Dylan's poetic vitality and verve. I have long been a fan of Dylan, although his greatest work was completed a long, long time ago, maybe before 1974. "Nashville Skyline," a later work (1969), is still very good, but it was probably down hill from there on out.

RE: How does it feel ?
Im all for it. He was a lyrical genious. A true poet and avoice of his time. There has been only one Dylan and there will never be another. I feel he has always been under rated.
