LOS ANGELES "” Charlton Heston, who won the 1959 best actor Oscar as the chariot-racing "Ben-Hur" and portrayed Moses, Michelangelo, El Cid and other heroic figures in movie epics of the '50s and '60s, has died. He was 84.[/b]
According to a statement from the actor's family, Heston died at his home in Beverly Hills on Saturday. His wife Lydia was at his side.

Charlton Heston will definitely be missed. He was a true giant and the ultimate supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Everyone should follow his example and continue fighting the anti-gunners.
