I remember kids doing that when I was in middle and high schools. Yeah, you can get a zap, but it's not what I'd call a stun gun. What do you think? Is this a case of a kid bringing a dangerous weapontoschool?
RE: Disposable Camera "Stun Gun" + School = Felony
That is pretty dumb, I saw a kid in high school with one as well, all the teacher did was told him to put it away when he walked in the room. But honestly it doesn't suprise me with some of the other stories that have come out of schools anymore about "weapons"

This sounds really crazy, but ill tell you exactly where this kind of craziness comes from. Litigation. If the school did nothing, someone would sue for not keeping a safe and weapon free school. Also, if someone would have been zapped with this thing, the school would be held liable due to the very same reason. If anything, people should take a story like this and get P.O.ed at all the frivolous law suits that have lead to all the crazy rules at school. As crazy as most of these kind of rules sound, there is a legit reason for them. Someone sued, somewhere along the line, bring on this craziness. Its not like administrators set around and try to dream up things to hammer the kids with. As for the felony, that is in the hand of the law, not the school. All has to do with the laws definition of a weapon.
Buy the way, how much of a zap can this device give? When I was in school we had to snap each other with rubber bands, disposable cameras were a thing of the future.

All it is is a little capacitor that charges up when you hit the flash button and the when you release the charge its just a little zap, nothing too big but enough to make you jump, thats what I what I remember when seeing one.

Actually it sounds like a fun toy to me...
Naaaa, I still like the old fashion rubber band snap. I guess id be a traditionalist when it comes to school pranks.
