Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Letterman is a the poster child for the liberals, whywould he meet Mc Cain with open arms? I don't think Letterman speaks for mainstream America.. At least I hope the average American is a little bit smarter than that. Now I'm not including Liberals, I already know how think.[:@]

...and that's the reason why I don't care for Letterman. He's a closet liberal and an idiot... [:@]

I saw most of the McCain segment on Letterman last night. McCain was pretty funny. Letterman was more respectful of him than I expected. I'm not sure I'd label Letterman as "the poster child for Liberals". Being the most liberal member of Congress, I suspect that Obama gets to take that particular banner of ignominy. I get the impression that Letterman is very anti-war and that he literally hates Bush, but, I don't think he's necessarily anti-all-things-conservative. I could be wrong though...

I remember Letterman taking some pretty good shots at Clinton. I seem to remember him having some pretty good clashes with truely liberal people that got on there talking about politics. Maybe it was Whoopi goldberg on at least one occasion.

I think that the nature of his employment is that he snipes at whoever happens to be in power at the time.

Granted, but he is a bit more evenhanded and less partisan about it. A Democratic president could be operating concentration camps and gas chambers and and only get some very gentle sniping from Maher or Stewart.

I thought it was interesting last night, O'Reilly ran a clip of a Democrat Governor of one of the northeastern states (don't recall which) complementing FoxNews on their fair and balanced reporting of the primaries and stating that they were doing a better job of being fair and balanced than CNN et al...

FOX does lean a little to the right, but is nowhere near as bad as many on the left make it out to be. They tend to cover a lot of stuff that folks like CNN, etc. wont touch.

I don't understand why a couple of the posters here get upset at Letterman. If anything, I'd say he HELPED McCain...showing that he (McCain) can loosen up a little...seemed positive to me
