Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Voting by Convicted Felons

Convicted felons vote in at least 39 states. In OK they are allowed to vote once they are off probationor parole. California allows some incarcerated felons to vote. It should not come as a surprise that the vast majority of felons vote for Democrats.Felons make one of the largest voting blocs in the Democratic scalawag coalition. It is not an accident thatliberal anti-gun politicians are opposed to the death penalty, three strikes and life without mercy sentences.

If convicted felons had been allowed to vote in FL in the 2000 election, George Bush would have lost. Jeb Bush has since signed legislation that allows felons to vote in Fl.

If theyhave served their sentence, and are judgedsafe enough to be released into society, they are safe enough to regain their civil rights.

If they can't be trusted with civil rights, they ought be kept in prison. Prisoners, and people on probation should be stripped of certain rights and privledeges until their time is served.

After time served plus five years, most job restrictions are lifted for felons. The same should be true for voting.

I agree, if you have served you time, you can vote. But not until you have paied your dues to society.

What do you expect from California. California is like a turd stuck to the fur on a dogs butt. I just wish America could drag its butt and scrap it off.

haha, why don't you want felons voting period? that's like saying I don't want men over 50 voting, or men who make less than 200k a year, any logic, attempted logic behind that idea?

A felony record is a fairly clear indication that the holder lacks common sense and critical thinking abilities...

people change you know, and most people dont vote drunk, which is what i know a lot of ppl got felonies while drunk... i think eventually they should be able to vote, when theyve done their time...and i dont completely understand why all felons get their 2nd amend. rights taken away...

Fairly clear you said it, not a universal truth. I think the quote goes something like "to deny one man liberty is to deny all men liberty!"

And in part I agree, sure there are alot of bad apples/felons, just not everyone, and therefor denying all isn't exactly a good thing.

While maybe not everyone has done something during their lifetime that was a felony, most I would say could have been convicted of a midemeanor, if not a felony etc....certainly served jailtime etc....

rather large generalization IMO.

Would you agree that there are more intelligent, more well educated felons than yourself?

No, I wouldn't. I know how to stay out of trouble. Obviously they don't...
