Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

It will all equal out. Remember, a lot of the conservativeshave said they would vote Demo, or not vote at all, if McCain got the nod. Ive seen it posted here as well. So i guess it all will work out in the wash.

I think it is interesting. To hear the Democrats and the news media tell the story, you would think Hillary and Obama will be running against GW Bush in November. NOTE TO MEDIA/DEMOCRATS . . . BUSH ISN'T RUNNING!!!

I think the usual issues are at play in this presidential election campaign, and it boils down to whether you are conservative or liberal.

Do you want more taxes leviedto support more domestic social programs? Do you want more protections for minorities, gays, etc? Do you want less commitment to foreign policy initiatives? Do you want less money spent on the military? Do you support abortion? Do you want less support for your second amendment rights? Do you want supreme court justices and federal court judges who view the constitution as "a living document" and who consider themselves invested with the authority to rewrite the constitution in the interests of modern interpretation of this "living document?" You may want to click the DEMOCRAT box when voting for president.

Do you want to continue to enjoy your second amendment rights? Do you want to avoid increased taxes and increased social spending, for example avoid increased spending on domestic entitlement programs? Do you want a strong military? Do you want supreme court justices and federal court judges who view their mission to be to construe the constitution according to the intentions of the founders? You may want to click the REPUBLICAN box when voting for president.

Perhaps that is a slight over simplification, but it is closer to being on point than it is to being wrong. Hillary and Obama DO NOT bring anything new to the Democrat pool of ideas. It is the same old screed. Therefore, even those who are disappointed with the leadership of GW Bush aren't necessarily going to be won over to the Democrat ticket. The ideas they bring are the same old ideas, and they aren't any more attractive today than they were 8 years ago or 16 years ago.

I confess my wife has been attracted to voting for Hillary Clinton, largely because she has been talking about this with a liberal chum of hers about politics lately. I'm hoping this recent flap over the "landing under sniper fire" reminds my wife of just what a hoax and a lier and a traditional same-old, same-old Democrat Hillary is. Again, I think she is missing sight of an important point . . . GW Bush is not the Republican candidate for president in 2008!!!!

Remember that a lot of republicans said they would vote for Hilalry or Obama if McCain got the nomination, but that has changed. Expect the same to happen on the Democratic side onc ethey have a nomination.

I never heard anyone (except for blathering Ann Coulter) say that they would vote Democrat if McCain got the nomination. I did hear quite a few say they wouldn't vote for McCain, though. As for me, that hasn't changed.
