Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default For you bleeding hearts worried about Global Warming

Those of you who feel good about Ethanol can pat yourself on the back for costing my community over a 1000 jobs and two industries shutting down in a community. Cited as the number one reason was the "US government'ss ill-addvised policy of providing generous federal subsidies to corn-based blenders". Thes susidies are going to cost Pilgrams Pride 1.3 billion higher costs to feed their birds so they have to cut costs some where.

I hope you tree huggers feel good. Not only are you wasting my money on this stupid stuff, I'm going to have to pay unemployment for these folks as well. Why can't we just stop this silly Ethanol scheme.

EDIT: Not only that plant closing that will cause a burden, but the chickens that couldn't go to market becasue the fell off the table or what ever, ended up at the Carnavoir preserve. I have been donating a bunch of deer kills to these folks because the rescue the big tigers and such around the country and give them a place to live. Looks like I'll have to aim for 20+ deer next year to donate.

Blame them for part of it. Estimates say there's about 30 billion barrels off the coast of Alaska.

Welcome to the discussion FD3. What do you think I've been talking about for the last two months with regards to the field just off shoe being blocked because of the stupid polar bear even though they are at recorded levels.

Any politician who endorses that crap should be doused in it an lit on fire.
In my state, the legislature has delivered the votes to require a mandated level of ethanol in all gasoline with the percentage increasing over time- against the will of the angry constituents, paid for by the ethanol industry.

There's also enough natural gas there to last forever. We don't need to import any.[:'(]

welp, I don't think ethanol is a very good alternative to gasoline, atleast in the current form that we have to make it. As for losing jobs in your area, I don't know that you'll get much sympathy, because as you always say, when the market moves somewhere else, move or get a different job. Just don't complain.
