CAIRO, Egypt"” Usama bin Laden slammed the publication of drawings insulting to the Prophet Muhammad in a new audio message posted late Wednesday and warned Europeans of a strong reaction to come.[/b]
The message, which appeared on a militant Web site that has carried Al Qaeda statements in the past and bore the logo of the extremist group's media wing al-Sahab, showed a still image of bin Laden aiming with an AK-47.
A voice believed to be bin Laden's described the cartoons as taking place in the framework of a "new Crusade" against Islam and warned Europeans that a reaction would come.
"The response will be what you see and not what you hear and let our mothers bereave us if we do not make victorious our messenger of God," he said, without specifying what action would be taken.

Is anyone actually sure that he's still alive? Has the voice been positively authenticated? He was on very shaky health ground during the Tora Bora days, and hasn't been verifiably seen in the flesh for years, it's entirely possible that Al Queda is pulling a General Ludd on the world to make themselves seem bigger than they are.

Either the successor to the renowned AK-47, or it's bastard child depending on your POV. Basically an AK chambering a 5.56mm round instead of a 7.62mm.

If you notice almost every photo of bin Laden has a 74 in it.You can distinguish it by itsorange Bakelite magazine. Apparently it is a stronger and more inherently accurate design than the original AK-47 and AKM. Only half the parts are interchangeable between the 74 and the older guns. It chambers a 5.45x39 cartridge.

I think he is alive but hasn't been well for a long time. It is pretty simple to evade capture when most of the people over there in the Middle East consider him Allah"™s messenger. There are areas we can't get to over there and unless he is taken out from the insidevia a coop he will probably die from old age. The threat against Europe should be taken seriously. I expect to read about a strike of some type soon.

The Glasgow airport attack was bad enough for me without Bin Laden and his cronies launching attacks on my country.
