RE: NY democratic Governor Eliot Spitzer resigning after caught in prostitution sting?
If the worst he did was get some extra curricular trim, and was otherwise doing a decent job, then quitting was the last thing he should have done. Some of the greatest leaders in history cheated on their mates, didn't stop them from doing their job well.

RE: NY democratic Governor Eliot Spitzer MAY resign after caught in prostitution sting?
Why would he resign? He's a Democrat. Their social construct is amorality, and commission of sex crimes is a rite of passage for them.
If he was a Republican, I'd understand his intent to resign, but, getting caught with a hooker isn't much worse than getting caught staining party dresses...
RE: NY democratic Governor Eliot Spitzer MAY resign after caught in prostitution sting?
He'll hang on.Might notget re-elected in two years, but solicitation of prostitution is such a non-issue. No one really expects politicians not to commit adultery one way or another. As angry as some New Yorkers are about the driver's license issue, I don't think anyone really cares about this.
