Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Dems are PO'd

I am hearing that if super delegates put Hillary at the top, Obama fans will vote for Mccain. I am amused.

I find it totally depressing that a few delegates can override the wishes of the rest of their party, where's the representation there? Gawd I hate the Electoral College...

This has nothing to do with the electoral college.[:@]
It has to do with the way the DEMOCRAT PARTY nominates someone to run for the presidency of the United States.
If you have a problem with THAT, then maybe the democrat party is not for you. Seems to me, the current state of
the democrat party is one where individual votes DO NOT matter, contrary to their vile whining about their losses
in elections past where the 'electoral college' got in the way of their victory. The Electoral College is a constitutionally defined body and without an amendment to the Constitution, they're here to stay.

Yep, doesnt have to do with the electorial college. And It appears the Demos are still going with the attitude, "We know whats best foryou, just shut up and let us take care of everything". Or at least by a few who are controlling the party. heck, look who they put up as DNC head last election, Dean. Look who is the speaker of the house, Pelosy. That there should speak volumes. That too is the main reason I pray that no Demo gets in office. I could see Hillary or Obama getting a bullet. And if they are the supper ticket of Obama/ Hillary or visa versa, (as the party has suggested) That would leave Pelosy in line to take over. I could see a group of nuts willing to take them both out.

The superdelegates were instituted in the early eighties by the democratic leadership to make sure that if the voters did not pick the establishments candidate, they could still elect him/her at their convention. Just another example of their elitist attitudes.

I find it interesting that in 2000, Democrats wanted to change the law requiring Florida to certify the vote date certain, and apply it to that election (i.e. change the rules of the game and apply it to the game already going on to benefit them).

Now, Clinton wants to change the democratic party agreement she signed onto disallowing Florida and Michigan delegates since they changed their primaries against the wishes of the DNC. She won, so wants another primary there so the votes will count.

Obama wants to change the rules of the superdelegates to be certain of voting in lock stepwith the popular vote.

Bottom line, we're used to seeing democrats try to cheat, but it's really enjoyable to see them do it to each other!

Democrats have long portrayed the Republican party as being racist. I'm interested to see whom their "Überdelegates" choose.

It does not matter whom they choose. The implied intent is to install a socialist Executive branch.

It's funny that people are surprised at the 'super delegate' concept. It's the Dems that are gonna TELL you that
they can make better use of your money than YOU. In the matter of the now-dead Bush initiative of privatizing individual retirement accounts in lieu of Social Security ( a small percentage of income, in a voluntary participation ), it was the dems WHO DECIDED FOR US that we are incapable (read that no INTELLIGENT enough) to invest our own money wisely enough to deny SS the funds the gum'mint would piss away anyway. ANd it's the dems who are going to
decide for us that WE"RE NOT PAYING ENOUGH TAXES to support socialism in this country. The problem here, is that what WE think is the democrat party, and what the democrat party USED TO BE, and what the dem LEADERSHIP sees for the democrat party are VERY DIFFERENT THINGS and THERE IS LITLE OR NO OVERLAP. Most of the people voting democrat are voting for that which does not exist anymore.

The simplest equation that should be promoted, which everybody can understand is this:
HOW MUCH CAN YOU AFFORD TO PAY IN EXTRA FEDERAL TAXES ?

Those who can pay, and don't mind paying, and in 'good conscience' think we're not paying enough, should vote
democrat.

Those who are oppposed to further enabling a bloated federal budget, and those who are either unwilling to pay
or cannot afford to pay more federal taxes should vote republican.

It's just that simple. The problem comes into play when stupid democrats believe their own little personal income bracket will be exempt because they cannot personally afford more taxes, but lots of others can afford to pay
and in their estimation, should pay. That's economic bigotry of the first order.

I'll be voting republican, based on the current stance of the democrat party on taxation.
Anybody here want to pay more ? Anybody here ignorant and arrogant enought to think OTHERS should pay more ?
