Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Should McCain Denounce a Biased Supporter?

Well now. it looks like the shoe is on the other foot. I don't know if the endorser is a bigot or not but McCain sure reacted differently than Obama.

"The televangelist, San Antonio megachurch leader John Hagee, has referred to the Roman Catholic Church as "the great whore" and called it a "false cult system" and "the apostate church"; the word "apostate" means someone who has forsaken his religion. He also has linked Adolf Hitler to the Catholic church, suggesting it helped shape his anti-Semitism.
Catholic groups are pressuring McCain to reject the endorsement, which he announced at a news conference with Hagee last week. The Democratic National Committee also is publicizing Hagee's views.
"Indeed, for the past few decades, he has waged an unrelenting war against the Catholic Church," said Catholic League President Bill Donohue.
"Senator Obama has repudiated the endorsement of Louis Farrakhan, another bigot," Donohue said. "McCain should follow suit and retract his embrace of Hagee."

Sure why not if that's what you want then. However, even the Catholic Church linked itself to Hitler.

I think McCain has found himself a a VP! Now all we'll need is for Osama Bin Laden to endorse the Irishman O'Bama and we'll have a barn-burner for a presidential race come November!

I think McCain should say no more about the endorsement. Then, he should find some way to acknowledge Catholics as an important constituent group as quietly as possible.

Hagee wants the US to invade Iran to bring on the Second Coming and destroy Israel. The guy's views are pretty extreme. There are pictures of McCain literally hugging the preacher so he is far closer in friendshipto McCain than Farrakhan ever was to Obama.

Let's see if McCain is pilloried for a nut supporter like Obama was. Or maybe he'll be treated differently since Obama is reputed to be getting such a pass from the media.

So far I've seen you make a lot of claims but no other information about this guy.

As far as Obama goes, you can't really decide who will support you but it was his dancing around searching for his words that really has drawn the attention. You have to admit he did struggle to get to the end point. He left the door open for the challenge instead of handling it cleanly. I have more of a problem with Obama's ties to the terrorist that has been in the news lately. I really don't think we want another person is the White House with sympathy for terrorist like Bill Clinton had.

I know enough about this Hagee nut case to say that if McCain does not speak up then he loses my vote.
