Time to re-ask this question of pulling a Lautenberg this fall?
What are the chance of the Dems pulling Obama, should he still win, this fall and replace him? The reason I have to ask this is due to the kid gloves he has been handled with. He hasn't been asked any tough questions to date. However, he has brought more people in to pay attention. When he anouces his plans and is challenged, I think it will become evident he isn't ready. I may be wrong but I don't think so.

I think you are right about this one, I see him as a fence sitter waiting to go along with the flow.. When the gloves come out I do not think he will do very well, but even for someone to confront him they will need to choose their words wisely..
RE: Time to re-ask this question of pulling a Lautenberg this fall?
Why is it, that he's not been challenged yet on any of the few positions he holds, that we know about ?
Depending on the answer we get here, is how well McCain will do against him. Obama is a polished and
efficient speaker. He's a slimy eel that even Hillary cannot pin down to the table. Will this change
when the race is down to 1 Democrat and 1 Republican ?
RE: Time to re-ask this question of pulling a Lautenberg this fall?
When has either party ever chosen a presidential candidate in the primaries and then thrown him to the wolves? If Obama is elected to represent the Democrat partyhe will be locked in.None of the candidates have been asked the hard questions.
Obama is the perfect candidate to represent the Democrats at a time when the Republican party is fractured by dissent from talk show pundits andthe religious right. Sure hope that the Republicans and McCain have enough sense to pick a highly visible and popular VP candidate. Another Cheney type will not get it done.

Anne, though I like her, isn't much of a real influence. Rush on the other hand hasn't backed anyone. Nor do I really expect him to this go around. However, he is dead on about with the focus to be on the farm system. The key to get our government back in the hands of the people and conservitism is to focus on your state elections.
Back to Obama and his kid glove treatment. It boils down to the fact that neither Hillary or Obama had anything different to say. They both had the exact same message, but he says it better. Hillary, as I said all along, had too many negatives to be elective. The one thing she has shown this go around, is how poor of a leader she really is. Her campaign has been mismanaged, her message has been garbled and her emotions are out of control.
She would have done better had she not flip flopped on issues her husband had passed when he was in charge. Instead, she flipped on NAFTA instead of educating and reviewing the facts. NAFTA has created more jobs here in America and has been what's saving Ohio from being even worst. 55% of all exports to Canada and Mexico originate in Ohio. Obama or Hillary goes to change it and Ohio will be looking at 10% unemployment instead of 6%.

There is nothing good about NAFTA and CAFTA and they have to go away.. If they do not go away markets will continue to fall flat on their face.. The only way we can afford to keep them is to change the term free trade and incert fair trade... Fair as in evironmental issues, safety issues, and the like. Other than that no big corporations are going to make it here.. Jobs are in fact leaving for those things that we impose on them that concern our safety and health..

The problem Hillary has with BHO is that her positions are almost the same as his. Only he is just a little more to the left of her which serves him well in a Democratic primary. Whenyou couple that with the facthe is smooth, thinks on his feet, and has to dodge panties on stage while saying absolutely nothin extremely well.....Hillary is just outclassed. I think it is ironic that the Clintons now know what the Republicansmust feel like to only get 10% of the black vote. With the parties plans and coronation of Hillary as the next POTUS for the last 8 years, it really makes me wonder if the Clintons now regret their advice for Obama to give the Key Note Speech in the 2004 Dem. convention.
My hopewas that it will be extremely close and the Clintons will swindle it from BHO, and cause all kinds of problems at the Dem. convention. Now I really think Obama has just about got her whipped.
WhenBHO goes up against McCain, there will be clear differences. That is when clear choices will be presented. It will be much easier for McCain to attack him on policy than Hillaryis right now.

Interesting. That had not really crossed my mind. If the modern Demo party follows suit, it will go with the boat that brought them. They wouldnt buck the popular vote due to the back lash of the mindless sheeps. And to replace him with Hillary will be to bring in known problems. With Obama, the problems will (or might not) rise after the votes are cast.

Do some more studying on this Phil. Don't just follow the union bosses. Be independent for a change. The number one cause for job loss is inovation and technology by far. Does this mean we should go back to horse and buggy? As far as corporations leaving, there are several reasons. Over regulation in this country is one reason corporations leave. Taxes are another. Weapply the highest taxes on our corporation than any other industrialized nation. If we were smart we would drop them to "0".
I asked this before and got no answer but maybe you missed it. You hate outsourcing to another country because you see it as your job going overseas. What about states that offer a better incentive for a corporation to up and move to thier state. Those folks at the original location are still out of a job. Would you pass laws forbidding this as well?
The fact of the matter is Globalization is real it is happening and you can't stop it. We need to continue to lead in this area or we will get left behind. If our corportion don't adjust, then they will die. Work will always flow to the cheapest and best labor source available. No job is safe unless you continue to better yourself and make yourself invaluable. The 90's were a boom because of China and India coming on line. Their education system is top notch. They compete for the top placements into the best schools. If they don't get in, it means a megar living. Here in this country, no worry. We have safety net after safety net. With like mediocrity. Unfortunately, we also have a Demacratic party not interested in the facts, they are only interested in advancing false hoods inorder to get re-elected.
