Rep. Rick Renzi Indicted in Land Scam

In a 26 page federal indictment, Congressman Rick Renzi of AZ has been indicted in a land scam.

"The indictment's 35 counts include charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering, insurance fraud and extortion. Most of the charges allege Renzi, 49, used his office to promote a land swap to collect on a debt owed by former Renzi associate James W. Sandlin of Sherman, Texas."

On a lighter note, Mr. Freedom Fries; US Rep. Ney of Ohio, is now in a half way house after serving a federal sentence. BTW: The trial of US Rep. Jefferson of frozen cash fame has been postponed.

Sure does make one proud that we have such fine folks representing our interests in DC.

Yep, the feds are breathing down the neck of Senator Young. At least three US House members from CA are also in the sights of federal prosecutors. They are Jerry Lewis, John Doolittle and Gary Miller.

Too bad that Renzi's family is going to suffer for his dumb actions. The guy has 12 kids.
