Not Anymore.......
Actually if you take the end of my post " Nasty place ,Old broken down and in disrepair " that covers most of West Texas.
Hobbs New Mexico isone small step down, when compared to Hell. [:@]
All depends on the part of west Texas. Up in the Pan Handle, yuck. Dry, dusty, windy, ugly treeless flat dirt bowl. Pecos has its charm or the Davis and Guadalupe Mt. are pretty. From Brownfield over to New Mexico, until you hit the Moutains, is the ugliest place on this planet.[:'(]

How About the town of "Broom" on the road from Midland to nasty water, the population was like " 12 " the last time I went through.
I remember one day when I was a kid. The gas man stopped at our farm and told my dad " Bob you better fill your tank because gas is going up to 21 cents" My dad said " My god, how much higher can it get"? Little did he know. This was about 1956.
