That reminds me of something. I know you guys love stereotyping Muslims, so here's one for you. I knew this Iranianin DC who helped his brother run a neighborhood grocery store. We'd talk politics and history, and he'd teach me cuss words in Farsi. So anyway, a friend of his came overfrom Iran tovisithis family and was impressed by the number of pigeons in the parks. He came up with a plan to take a paper grocery bag and grab a few of them in order to make roast pigeon breast, or something of that nature.
The two of them went to the park, I think off of New York Avenue NW, not quite in the federal district. The guy got about three birds before one of those old bird ladies came up and asked him what he was doing, expressin her wish that no one hurt the poor pigeons. So he told her they were working for the DC Health Department and taking birds for disease testing, etc. The old lady wandered off, and they booked it out of there. It was a small meal that night.
