Well went to the nerosurgeon today. My disc at L4-l5has collapsed. March 5th I will be having another fusion that will encompass three levels S1 -L5, they are taking the disc at l4-l5 and putting rods down my spine.
I knew it was coming but didn't know how bad it was going to be.

Sorry to hear that Charlie. I had neck fusion surgery 17 months ago, and have been pain free for about 5 months, then yesterday a man crossded the centerline and hit me head on. I am sore all over, and again am having trouble with my neck. I am going back to my neurosurgeon on the 25 th. I feel your pain, andI'll say a prayer for you.
sorry to hear that hope you get better for next season

But you know Charlie, I know a farmer who had back issues his whole life. And he had a severe accident, with a tractor. And broke every bone almost and several places in his back. They put rods down his back and fused alot and he said, he has never felt better. After a year of recovery of course.

Charlie P, I VERY STRONGLY suggest you get more oppinions for your back, go to the rods only as a last resort!. My father has been suffering with those damn things for 20 years now, the rods are now bent and the wire they used to bind them with are deterorating, he is in pain 24/7 and there is nothing else they can do for him!. He says today, he wishes he would have never left them do that to him!. Man I hate it for you, but you need to find out some other options, the fix went so wrong that he had to move down to Florida because of the cold effecting him worse, even when the temps drop down to below 60 degrees down there it puts him in worse pain and discomfort. He has also not been able to hunt since this all took place, he cant sit in the same position for more than ten minutes, his favorite chair today is a hard straight-back kitchen chair. The old saying is very true, I feel your pain, I know I definatly feel my fathers!. Good luck and I hope you can find an alternative!.
