The muslim world most direly needs to understand that the rest of the planet has no desire to live in the 12th century as they appear to, especially not with them in charge. They had their moment in history and chose to slide into mediocrity. They used to be the world power and it's gnawing at them that not only have they become a virtual third world status entity, but the "infidels" now run things. I don't want to live in a world where the sexes are kept rigidly separated, ask any clinical psychologist what that invariably leads to. I don't want to live in a world where some strict cleric can command me at will. I don't want to live under their system, and practically no one else does either other than illiterate peasants who grew up under such a system and know no other way.
