But what are you going to do when Hillary wins, enacts Hillarycare, and oversees an increase in government-subsidized birth control, stem cell research, and abortions?
I will hold my nose and vote for McCain, lets just hope he picks a decent running mate.

Unfortunatly Mike Huckabee has one hell of a hill to climb " Im still going to hold out hope for him", but when it comes down to it, a true republican will have to vote for McCain, our country cant afford to have the democrats hold congress, senete, and the whitehouse, they will tear this country down into a third world nation, the war on terrorism will come here, the islamics hate us that bad!. As far as the second addmendment, you can kiss that goodbye, the brady-bunch will get their way and dissarm us, certain politicians will take advantage of this!. Sounds like a story of dume, growing up I could have never imagined this, looks like it can come true though!.
Oh yeah, and don't forget those three Supreme Court justices!

His choice will prove or disprove his leadership and decision-making abilities. And maybe make or break his campaign. May hechoose wisely.
Mac has an OUTSTANDING record on Justices... he fought and voted for all of the following very conservative judges: Roberts, Alito, Thomas, Scalia, and even Bork...
this may be his most endearing quality to conservatives and they need to be reminded daily how important this is... there are 6 judges above the age of 68... it is entirely possible that during a McCain tenure he could select 2-3 justices for the supreme court... imho, this is WAY more important than any substantive disagreement I have with him

I would vote for McCain in the general election if I had to do it. I am worried about Ron Paul running third party. With the choice of a democrat and McCain, I'm sure he would pull enough conservatives to get the democratic candidate elected. Deja Vu.

You make a list as in every election. Vote for who ever covers your issues. It's not hard. In fact it's easy. This year your challenged. When you find a place where you check no, you need to voice your opotion when that choice comes up like any other year. Does it work? Yes and no but your in the driver seat.If you care enough it does.Tax cuts made it with a stop watch. Myers didn't make it for the Supreme Court. Illegals didn't get a pass. The worst you can do sit down and accept it.

He also voted for Ultra-liberal Ruth bader Ginsburg, whats your point? I think you are all going to be very dissappointed with any SCN that mccain has a hand in. I see nothing in mccains record to suggest that a conservative is a given if he is elected.
I will vote for McCain in the general election against Hillary or Obama, but I will not vote for him twice. I'm trying to decide who my write in candidate will be in our Texas primary. After voting for our local races, I think I just might write in my own name for President.

What are you going to do when McCain is elected and does many of the same things?
I simply don't trust McCain and I think that a lot of Republicans are going to be sorely disappointed if he is elected. He's cozying up to the GOP now, but how long is that going to last? He only needs Republicans until he gets elected. He's already hinted that he would be a one-term president, and his political career as an elected official will be over once he is out of the White House. So he doesn't have to worry about appeasing his party or his "base."
This is the same guy who has teamed up with some very liberal Democrats on some very liberal legislation, from campaign finance reform with Feingold to immigration reform with Kennedy, and now this latest being a 50-cent-per-gallon gas tax hike to combat global warming with Clinton, Obama and others. This is the same guy who considered teaming up with ultra-liberal John Kerry in the 2004 election. This is the same guy who approached Tom Daschle and other Democrat leaders in 2001 about switching to their party. Hey, bipartisanship is great. God knows we need more of it in Washington. But things like stomping on the First Amendment, granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants and placing a huge tax on gasoline to fight global warming. Those aren't Republican issues in any way.
I hope Clinton's not elected. But I just don't really expect McCain to be much better. I wouldn't vote for McCain anyway because his views are so distant from my own, as I've said before.
