So it begins. Looks like the mccain koolaiders have arrived in full force.Plethora of cut and paste from mccains website to follow. Nobody was harping on the mccain virtue just a few short months ago, now, he is the savior of the republican party. mccainiacs can't understand the lack of conservative support. Conservatives are not interested in saving the republican party, the party was the means to advance conservative ideology, we are not 'party men'. So now, myself and others like me, need to consider the best vehicle to transport the ideology. What to do, what to do.[&o][:'(]
Yep, i was one of those guyswho you so graphically describe. Then a big dose of reality set in. Suddenly i awoke and it hit me: "What if McCain loses." We would have at least four years, and maybe as many as 16, of Obama and/or Hillary. So i just nibbled at the fried crow a little bit and it ain't too bad. Just suck it up, eat some crow and vote for McCain.

No. I just cannot pull the lever for him. Here is why this whole process just slays me: Hillary is hated by a lot of people, and in particular, those on the right. Hillary grabs the nomination from the left, and the right hits the polls en masse. Enter mccain. The left has cast nearly 25million votes thus far in the primaries, the right, less than 13 million. Now the benefit of the right flooding to the poling place, is the residual effect of the congressional and referendum votes in various states. Enter mccain, and suddenly, the rallying of the right is supressed. Nobody is excited about mccain, and the Hillary hatred effect is diminished severly. Hillary is going to be the benefactor of the perfct storm, much like mccain has been. Personally, i have hated mccains politics for years, i think he has betrayed the right over and over again. I admit, it never even dawned on me that mccain could get the nomination, I was asleep at the wheel. Then, after S.C., it begain to sink in. Still, i don't buy into the plug your nose and vote for him mentality. When all the right wing radio folks start supporting mccain after Hillary gets the nod, what will you all say then? I won't waiver, I ust can't vote for the guy.[:@]
I think that it was best put on fox the other day by laura ingram, "If the democrats can't win in november they should pack up and close up shop". Sad but true. I wish that i could say i believe that we have a chance to win, but i just can't. there's been way to much kool-aid drinking going on in america, and mccain is gonna get the nomination!!(how the hell did this happen?)

Believe it or not, you're seeing peoplefromvarying backgroundsbanding togetherto protect our country from lunatics. McCain is electable, and pretty reasonable considering the acrimony in politics. That means something to peoplein this age.
I asked before for someone to post a list of the reasons to hate McCain. (And, since you are SOOO against cut and paste, let's hear it in your own words, not Ann Coulter's). The guy is Anti-Abortion, Pro-Gun, strong on defense, against large government, intends to push to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, voted FOR Alito and Roberts and intends to appoint judges out of the same mold.
So, let's hear it. What are the problems? Immigration? His position is secure the border first, and then figure out what to do with the illegals who are here. What else?
By the way, what I see in the "I'm gonna sit this out" crowd, is a bunch of traitors who don't care if they destroy the country by turning the Congress, the Executive Branch and the Supreme Court over to the socialists.
It happened because there are no good conservative candidates this year, just Republican lite.
I don't believe that. I really liked Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, they never got any traction. They were not media darlings like the other canidates. Look at all the media attention given to Rudy, yet he didn't win anything. I think it is funny how many people say the far right gets their info from talk radio, while they pick canidates fowarded by the media. How many people really researched the canidates? How many people just let the top few choices decide their vote? No canidates is perfect, but some are clearly better than others.

IPSC, the list is long and readily available to anyone interested and it has been hash out over and over all over this board. I think everyone knows pretty much all about mccain, at least those who follow politics.
BTW, I have no Coulter books, never read her columns, and the only time I hear her is when she is on H&C. When she is on I like her, I think she is funny. I try to listen to Rush whenever I can, but the fact is, I run a construction site, and frankly, talk radio is not a big hit with my construction crew as you can imagine. On the other hand,I do know every song sung by VanHalen. I do like Rush, Ingraham, Beck, Hannity. SavageI have actually never heard, we don't get him here. I make no apologies for talk radio, I love it. There are a lot of people on here that listen to it too, they just won't admit it.
