Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default I understand how Mccain must be feeling

He's being labled as a liberal.

I have been labled a liberal on this site for years. I'm openly athiest so some people figure I have to be a liberal.

Here some facts on this liberal.

I have never voted for a democarat on national level.

Abortion, It a state issue not a federal isue.Don't like them at all but in certain cases I would let a women have one.

2nd Amendment, I think the second amendment say's it better then I could ever say it.

school prayer- Pray all you want, just don't mandate a prayer in a public school. If you are going to allow one religion to display stuff in a public square you have to allow all of them equal access.Don't understand how mandating some one to say a prayer establishes a moral code for everyone. This is something parents need to do.

Gay marriage, Well it's a state issue. Personally I don't know how my marriage will be less meaningful if a same sex couple gets the right to marry.I also believe Congress has more important things to worry about right now, sorta like steroids in baseball or if the Patriots cheated.

Death Penality, Make sure they are guility and then fry them.

Welfare- Give people that really need it a helping hand. That doesn't mean you get it for life.

So am I a liberal or maybe I more liberal then some of you?

You and I agree on many of those points Charlie, and I'm certainly no liberal, I take exeption to gay marriage though as you may recall. See you at the meeting.

You know we don't schedule atheist meetings on Friday, who can drink a beer in peace with that kind of noise going on?

I'm running around my apartment wearing nothing but a red and black scarf, yet you are still more liberal than I am, Charlie. Get over it.

ROFL. Charlie P, I think whether or not you are a moderate depends on the state you live in. In Iowa, pro-life, anti Roe-Vs Wade is a litmus test. Other states, it is fiscal conservatism. I wish the GOP could focus on economy, good jobs (not just for some) and a sound international policy. Oh well, just my take.

Yep, focus on feel good issues is one of the reasons that the Republicans lost both houses of congress in 2006. Alligators wereeating up their silly butts and the Republican congress was worried about a few gnats and fleas.
