Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Could we get that lucky?

Could we get that lucky and the Senate load down this bogus stimulas package with enough crap that it could possibly fail to pass? I'm praying every night it fails to make it through the both houses.

It certainly is a band aid on a amputation. The word stimulus is very deceiving.

Ditto! Flawed from the start. Give us money which we are expected to spend on durable goods to promote the economy. Nothing said about where the government is getting the money (borrowing it) and how much it will cost each of us down the road to pay it back. It is just about as ludicrous as ...if we need more money we will print more.

The best description I've read so far is, this stimulus is the same thing as taking a bucket of water from the deep end of the pool and pouring into the shallow end. Nothing changes the shallow end doesn't get any deeper.

What we really need if they were concerned is tax breaks for capitol improvements and upgrades in our factories and businesses. Let them accelerate their right offs. Then we would truly have wealth creation and a stimulus.

Last night in the debate they said we were getting the money from China, so we will help them out twice with this "economic booster".[:-]

Exactly. I think Huck said a better way would be to put the money into infrastructure improvements thus giving more work and a benefit to Americans.

As there is some truth in that statement, it still won't give the biggest bang for the buck and continue to keep on giving year after year.
