Berkeley votes to kick out Marines

Read over at the Drudgereport.com that the Berkeley city council voted 8-1 to shut down the US Marine recruiting center. It goes on to say the Marines are " not welcome in the city and if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome intruders". What a bunch of low life pieces of garbage. The sad thing is if there were any "real" uninvited and unwelcome intruders to show up at their fair city the Marines would be there to run them out.

I'd be interested to see the "other side" of this story. Frankly, wouldn't bother me a bit if Kalifornia slid into the ocean, so long as Pelosi, and Feinstein, and Boxer were there at the time.

I SPENT 3 YEARS RECRUITING FOR THE ARMY IN THE BAY AREA WHICH INCLUDES BERKLEY. MAYBE 30 MIN UP THE ROAD. I WAS TOLD NOT TO GO THERE IN UNIFORM UNLESS I WAS PREPARED TO BRAWL MY WAY OUT. THOSE LEFT COAST PEOPLE OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA ARE TRYING TO BAN MILITARY RECRUITING IN THE CITY LIMITS OF SF AS WELL.. THERE WAS A BIG PUSH ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES TO BAN RECRUITERS. SUPPOSEDLY THERE IS A LAW FOR THE FEW GOVERNMENT TO PULL FEDERAL FUNDS FROM SCHOOLS THAT DO THIS, BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT ENFORCED.
I HATE TO SAY IT, BUT THE PEOPLE THAT DON'T WANT US RECRUITING THERE WOULD SURELY WELCOME INVADERS TO COME TRY TO TAKE A SHOT AT US IMPERIALIST REAL AMERICAN WARMONGERS. I THINK THAT THEY WOULD HONESTLY WELCOME THEM WITH OPEN ARMS.

There are a few good folks out there. Small in numbers, but you can generally find them congregating in the mom and pop gunshops that manage to stay open... They are about as popular as the military..
