I'vethinking ofwaysto improve government thatthe American people would totally reject. For instance, federal, state, and local election commissions could do away with all names on the ballots. Make voters fill in the blanks. At the very least, one could sketch a crude elephant or jackass on the dotted line. I wonder if it would survive a challenge from the ACLU.

RE: Ballot Idea
how about using the technology available to us and be able to vote on-line ?
I mean, c'mon, its WAY past that time already, and it would bring in millions of voters who HATE going to the polls. We live in a convenient world where we want things fast and east. Time to being voting into that age as well

Yeah, like we don't have enough fraud already. If someone can't find the time to get their lazy butts up out of bed and get to their polling place then they don't deserve to vote. We have no-excuse voting in my state. All you need to do is show up I believe a month ahaed of time and cast your ballot with no excuse as to why you need to vote early.
I would like to se ID's mandatory before you vote. For some reason the Dems always appose that idea. Could it be the phrase of the Dems "Vote early and often" is true?

I've always been one to encourage people not to vote. Leave it up to those who know what the hell they're doing.
Kind of like exams at school. Multiple choice, no problem. Just use the process of elimination. Essay format, big trouble if you didn't bother studying.
Society makes it too easy to stop thinking and just pick fromsomeone else's list...
Okay, I have to chime in on this one. We should make the voting process in the primaries and the general election like the caucuses i.e. make tons of rules (switch them every year too) to weed out the people who are apathetic to politics.

deserve ? ITS A RIGHT TO VOTE
Maybe instead of having it in the country, you have to travel to the State Capitol to vote - I guess that'd be okay too ? You know, make it MORE inconvenient to vote than it already is ?
With technology as it is today, they could make on-line voting a reality in 6 months. They don't want to though, I think because they don't want MORE people voting.

Why do you think this will help Huckabee? It would help the Democrats because the younger people are the ones that aren't voting. All those old evangelists already vote.
I've seen "internet votes" before... Typically, they get hacked by a friend of one of the candidates who ties in an automated voting program, and VOILA... We have a winner... How do you propose to ensure secured voting? How do you propose to ensure that someone's kid doesn't log on to their parents' computer and vote for them?
I understand that voting is a "right", but, frankly, I think anyone younger than retirement age, whose sole income is the government teat, ought not to have the right...

Why should all these old farts get SS and leave none for the rest? Heck, they created the mess.
