Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Well, the only TERROR now is when you go to the bank or your job. Recession, deppression, flat azz broke. Rule no.1--you get what you sign up for. Now we can see real TERROR.

Or lets all get stupid home loans that we can't afford in the first place and then the house gets foreclosed we can all blame President Bush for our stupidity.

People need to step up and start taking responsibility for their actions. [:@][:@]

Good Point Jeep!!! Many problems are a result of people living their lives by a credit card, and over-extending their finances. But at the same time some legislation should be brought forth to stop just this sort of thing. I believe we have WAY to many laws, but we need simplifying of contracts and such so that they are worded in terms that the average person can understand what the HECK they are reading. Also these "special" introductory rate home loans are DEATH to credit on someone who is too ignorant to see what they are really signing up for. I know a couple who made just this mistake, $900/month for the first 3 yrs, then it jumped to $1600/month!!!!! Fortunately, they are making it, but that's on 2 RN's salaries.

People overextended themselves, I know a couple of people who have a very very nice home, but you go inside and there are rooms with no furniture because of their house payment they can't afford it. But it sure looks nice from the road. Kinda like buying aCorvette with no engine!! Plus aren't the Dems running the country right now??

Love my job. Only thing I don't like about my bank is that they don't pay enough interest on my savings. And, they REALLY don't pay enough on my son's savings ...

Recession, deppression,
Yes, my hairline has receded. But, I'm not terribly depressed about it. It helps to have a hot wife...

flat azz broke.
So, you blame Bush because you're broke? Usually that would be the fault of.... ummm.... YOU...

Gee... Tell that to the folks who want the government to step in and pay or alter their mortgages because they "signed up for" a lousy deal. As for me, I owe about $28,000 on a house that appraises for almost ten times that, and I hope to have it paid off in a couple years...

The real TERROR is folks who dig themselves into a hole, and then want taxpayers to pay their way out of that hole.

Bush has proposed $150 Billion in tax relief, and the Fed cut the interest rate by 3/4% today. That's a HUGE economic stimulus package. Unfortunately, it'll take 12-18 months before it starts paying dividends, and then... Hillary will get the credit.

What? My company can't lower my pay. We signed a legally binding offer letter. And no one's putting their hands into my bank account but the Mrs. and I.

Personal responsibility can overcome just about any obstacle that the ignorant masses throw in front of you.

How you could defend the cost of living, wich the majority of people can't afford on what they make is insane. I can afford anything they throw at me, but the average job can't afford it. Now if everyone made the income that you make, and I make, then it wouldn't matter. No one can defend spending 3 trillion, when it would fix the US completely on all topics. The Republic veiw helps me, but it doesn't help my many friends who just don't make enough to benefit from the tax cuts and loop holes. Sure we are all greedy, but total breakdown hurts everyone. You worry about a tax increase when cost's rise above the loss, doesn't make sense, or add up. Some are safe, others are not. Not everyone can increase there income to handle this kind of inflation, or there would be know one to do the labor. I know I can't change politic veiws, but just ask an accountant, and you realize the doom. ipscshooter

The inflation rate last year was 2.85%. That's horrible? I seem to have survived the 70's, when "Carternomics" had the inflation rate pushed well into the double digits...
