The economy doesn't need a bandaid, it needs to be left alone to fix itself. The current state of it is just a dip on a graph, and nothing unusual, it will correct itself simply because the greedy bastards who screwed it up will want to regain their losses. Why does practically nobody take the long view of something the size of the US economy?

The current "dip" in the economy is largely due to a bunchof institutional scumbags who got away with preying on pooruninformed folks who were so dumb as to believe that they could afford homes at interest rates that skyrocketed after 1-3 years.Now the poor folks are without homes and the sorry a$$ed money lenders are stuck with properties that are worth 1/2 to 2/3 of what they were one year ago. Just wait until thebailout for the sub-prime lenders hits the airwaves.
We just had a huge farm welfare bill passed. Guess it is time to pass a general welfare bill.
