The plan would include an immediate $250 tax credit for workers, which could double if the economy worsens, a one-time $250 supplement to Social Security payments, a $10 billion fund to help homeowners facing foreclosure and a $10 billion fund to assist states facing budget shortfalls amid lower tax revenues.

It takes $75 billion to hand out a few hundred dollars a piece to"workers"? How about homeowners pay for their own homes? And states with budget shortfalls? Yeah, wouldn't want to cut the fat any, would we?
People losing their homes isn't good, but we might as well kiss financial liability down the drain if people get their mortgages subsidized. The more government dips into the economy, the worse off we are socially. Bandaids for bullet holes to the tune of billions. When will it stop?
I agree with a lot of people that we need "change" in Washington. Increasingfederal spending is the last thing I had in mind.
Yep: When federal money is given to the airlines by thetruckload and to corporate "farmers" like ADM that is all well and good. Do not dare to assist an individualusing federal money, that is welfare.
"Well they did it for the Airlines because they thought the airlines going bankrupt"
Yep, they did, to the tune of about 25 billion dollars.
Wasn't that low interest loans not free money?
How about Hillary's 110 billion dollar plan of free money? For some reason the poor need their fuel bills taken care of. The bogus foreclosure issue thats hanging out there. What I love is they can only cite headlines of record foreclosures numbers but fail to say more people own homes today so the number would be a record. Also they like to claim it's the sub-prime biz that is taking everything down, when less then 2% of the mortgages are sub-prime and way less then that are in default. There is more to the story, stay tuned.

Has anyone ever listened to Obama's campaign speeches? He doesn't offer any solutions. He just harps about "change." He just plays on emotions. This plan is more of the same. He isn't offering long-term solutions. He's just playing on the emotions of those Americans who struggle to make it from paycheck to paycheck.
And I'm sick of all the politicians stumbling over each other to try and bail out homeowners who are facing foreclosure.

You are absolutely correct. Ditto for Clinton and Edwards. The automatons on the Republican side are no better.
