The NSSF reports that Citicorp"s Merchant Services Division is refusing to process gun-related customer credit-card sales. This applies both to legal firearms transactions conducted through licensed FFLs as well as ordinary sales of firearms accessories. The first company to be affected by this decision appears to be firearms distributor CDNN Sports, a large retail operation based in Texas. Citi Merchant Services and First Data notified CDNN that its merchant services account would be terminated and funds seized. (Citicorp Merchant Services employs First Data Merchant Services Corporation to handle credit card transactions.)
Charlie Crawford, president of CDNN Sports Inc., explained: "We were contacted recently by First Data/Citi Merchant Services by a June Rivera-Mantilla stating that we were terminated and funds were being seized for selling firearms in a non-face-to-face transaction. Although perfectly legal, we were also informed that no transactions would be processed in the future, even for non-firearms."
If you have a Citigroup credit card, or use Citibank for your banking services, you may want to consider shifting your accounts to another financial services provider " and be sure you tell the Citibank representatives why you are making the shift. If gun owners act in solidarity, other credit card companies may think twice about following Citigroup"s lead in refusing to handle gun transactions. To voice your concern to Citi Merchant Services and First Data Corp. directly, you can contact June Rivera-Mantilla at 631-683-7734 or her supervisor Robert Tenenbaum at 631-683-6570.

Tough choice here but I believe I would side with the face to face transactions here.

RE: Citicorp Credit Card Refuses to Process Firearms Transactions
A business reserves the right to refuse service to anyone they choose so long as they don't violate the law doing so. But conversely the consumer maintains an equal right to avoid doing business with any entity for any reason they choose. While I have done business with Citicorp before, as a member of two pro-gun groups I cannot justify continuing to do so. You have to admire one thing though, they're giving up access to an awful lot of potential revenue with this decision, I'm sure they'll come to realize this in hindsight and pull their heads out of their asses.

As an FFL dealer, that is an absurd statement.
When I purchase a firearm(s) from a wholesaler for a customer, I pre-pay for that merchandise with my business credit card. In the case of CDNN, they are a retailer.Eventhough an individualmay be able to order a firearm from CDNN (legally, I might add), theystill required tohaveit shipped to an FFL dealer, for the completion of the BATF Form 4473, and have the NICS checks done by that FFL dealer, before that firearm can be transferred to that individual's possession. Also they are talking about firearms accessories as well, such as scopes, rings, slings, holsters, etc., that no one has to have an FFL to order, or BATF Form 4473 to be filled out, or a NICS check completed.
While it may be totally within CitiCorp'sright to terminate and cease business with whom ever they please, for any reason they please, I hope that it turns out to bite them in the behind big time, for a long, long time. I will be checking all my accounts to see if CitiCorp or First Data Corpare in anyway connected to them. If they are I will be dropping them like a bad habit andswitching to a "gun friendly"financial institution, who will appreciate my business.

Not a choice for me. Gave up my CitiCorp personal and business cards several years ago when i found out that they support every anti-gunscheme that comes down the pike.

NEW YORK - Citigroup Inc. secured $12.5 billion in much-needed cash and slashed its dividend as a huge drop in the value of its mortgage holdings sent it to its first quarterly loss in 16 years.
