Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

What part of BELOW SEA LEVEL do some people not understand? Gee, yesterday I lived below sea level and my house got flooded, fancy that. Tomorrow I'm moving my trailer to tornado alley to see what happens. I'll honeymoonon the San Andreas fault. Then I'll go to Mexico and drink the water. Its probably fine.

Blaming the Army Corps is stupid. I'm sorry, what idiot designed a city in a known flood zone? AND expected nothing to ever go wrong? I would be turning my sights on the poor excuse for a mayor that let everyone drown instead of rounding people up on buses and getting their butts to higher ground -- whether they liked it or not.

Anyone who is stupid enough to stay at their house during that type of a hurricane in that particular area, have everything destroyed, have to be picked off of your rooftop by the Coastguard or National Guard, and taken someplace to have Army doctors fix you, doesn't deserve any money. The Gov't has done enough for you by saving your sorry a$$ off of your roof. No more handouts.

Well, if you take away the one guy who wants 3 QUADRILLION DOLLARS it still amounts to about $30 million for each and every person in New Orleans.

I think they ought to settle out of court with the guy wanting 3 QUADRILLION DOLLARS and have the treasury print up a 3 QUADRILLION DOLLAR bill. Imagine his consternation in trying to find somone to make change or find a bank that will take that in deposit.

The fact is it was a local goverment failure. Jefferson Parish right next door also had levee's fail, however they planned ahead for such an emergency and quickly patched the levee breaches. The funny thing was a week later as the water continued to rise in NO, Jefferson Parish built a new levee because the water started to back up into Jefferson. The officials in NO were too busy stealing Cadi's from Sewel to give a crap about the people they work for.

I agree. Let Louisiana pay the bill. The levees were suppose to be fixed back in the 60s, as well as a sea wall built. After the Galveston hurican hit, Galveston fixed its problem and Louisiana was going to do the same. Funny thing, once the work was suppose to start, the money had disapeared.

Now im not saying Louisiana is crooked, but it aint the most reputable place in the world. That is why I don"™t live therenor have hunted my land there in over 25 years.

The money for adequate levy construction went south into all the greedy corrupt hands that are taking all they can get. The local government there is run just like Bourbon Street. False fronts and plenty of distractions. Even the school districts there are corrupt. Money earmarked for supplies mysteriously disappears. This has been going on down there for a long time.

I don't know if every country on this planet could come up with 3 quadrillion dollars if they all stripped down to their skivvies and pawned everything they got.

For filing an idiotic lawsuit, these morons should be charged for the government services they utilized in saving their worthless a$$e$ from the flood that would have been a non-event if they had brains to build their homes ABOVE sea level. I blame the judge who allows this to proceed...
