Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

While I disagree with his choice, it was his to make since it's his place of business. One of the things I disagree most with when it comes to the smoking ban my city slapped on us is it's intrusive nature, the business owners should've had the right to decide whether or not they chose to continue serving smokers, the public has always enjoyed the right to patronize a different business.

I certainly am not a fan of government intrusiveness, but... your system pretty much tells non-smokers "either put up with smoke or stay home." I really don't think restaurant owners will turn away ANY business. All it takes is one smoker in a restaurant to ruin my meal. Smokers can at least step outside for a few minutes to smoke. I can't sit down and eat my meal on the sidewalk... Smoking is a filthy, nasty, disgusting habit, and, done in confined space with others, in my opinion, constitutes an assault.

I think that property owners alone should determine smoking regulations on their properties. The government needs to govern, not babysit.

People who don't like working or eating around smokers should go find some place that hippies and vegans hang out. It's not your air to claim all for yourself.

If a smoker were deliberately blowing smoke into other people's faces, perhaps your retort would have substance.

There is no right not to inhale second-hand smoke. Restaurants do not going into business to please you, one customer of many. Live with it.

You've got to be kidding. So, just because it's not being "deliberately blown in people's faces" but rather is simply exhaled generally into an enclosed space makes it less inconsiderate?

Perhaps when I go out to eat, I should carry a large bucket of dogsh!t with me, and every once in a while, I'll pick it up, and drop it on the floor and... oops... sorry I splashed some of that on your clothes and in your spaghetti.... I really didn't deliberately splash it on you...

I'm saying that unless a smoker is assaulting you, I see no legitimate complaint. It's amazing how scared people are of second-hand smoke, and yet are sobraindead that they simply can't tear themselves away from the thought of stuffing their faces when someone lights up. If you don't like smoking, stay away from smokers. It's that simple.

You need a permit to carry and dispose of biohazardous waste.

I consider it an assault. Not much different than if some TB infected illegal immigrant was coughing up bits of lung into my food.

So, if I go into a restaurant and am halfway through my meal, and some clown sits down at the next table and starts puffing away, I'm the one who's braindead because I don't appreciate the foul odor and carcinogens that this person is spewing around the room?

As if the arsenic and all the other garbage in your smoke isn't hazardous waste...

The funny thing is while most jump up and down because smoking is banned in most places will be whining like little school girls when the government decides that something they enjoy, which by some can be considered hazardous by others, is banned as well. When will it stop.
