Default Wisconsin proposes sweeping new gun control rules

The Wisconsin Bureau of Regulation and Licensing is in the process of Revising the Child Care Licensing Rules.

http://www.dhfs.state.wi.us/rl_dcfs/pdf-ppt-docs/RulemakingOrder.pdf

The following text appears in the rule changes NO LESS thatn four (4) times.
Quote:
The department may deny, revoke, or suspend a license, initiate other enforcement
actions specified in this chapter or in ch. 48, Stats., or place conditions on the license if the applicant or
licensee, a proposed or current employee, a volunteer, a household member or any other person
having regular contact with the children is, has or has been any of the following:
Quote:
Determined by the department to be in possession of a loaded firearm, or
controlled substance specified under ch. 961, Stats., on or off the premises, or is involved with drug
trafficking.
I think the intent here was to ban loaded firearms in daycares, which is clearly a violation of the 25th amendment to the State Constitution. Additionally, as written, it would prevent all employees, family members, and even the parents and family members of the children in the daycare from using a firearm anywhere for any reason (no more hunting, competition shooting, or recreational shooting). This too is a clear violation of the 25th amendment to the State Constitution.

I think the "intent" is obvious. Otherwise, they would have written the law differently. This kind of thing isn't a mistake.

I heard from my Senator (Republican) and the Speaker of the Assembly (Republican).

Both agree that my assertion (gun control) is correct.

If you know anyone in Wisconsin, please encourage them to write letters to the editor and to their representatives as most people don't even know about this.

As my initial post states, Madison is trying to change the rules for day care providers.

Constitutionally(currently), daycare providers are allowed to carry concealed weapons, as is any other citizen, in their own home, or place of business. As daycares usually operate out of private homes, its a double whammy so to speak granting daycare providers the ability to carry concealed weapons. This rule change would go directly against that constitutional right.

More over, the rule change stipulates any one, for any reason, again, check my original post for the details. This means that if you use a loaded gun for ANY REASON, the state can/will revoke your daycare providers license.

Should any one want to discuss this in additional detail, please feel free to PM me, or post back here and I will try to address any questions you might have.

We must unite and stand against this threat to our constitutional rights.

I encourage you to write Senator Breske and demand he take action. Failure to act could severely limit or even end hunting and sport shooting in Wisconsin.
