Its a screech owl ,cool little birds. They can scream like a monster.[:-]

Wow,I havent seen a screech owl in years. I need to see if i can find the pics, but two years ago we had a big horn owl nest in a tree in our back yard. We have pics of the chicks when they were just learing to fly.

Heres a pic of the chicks when they started to venture out of the nest. i cant find the pictures when theys started to fly. I tell you what, having a big owl nest in one of your pecan trees will sure keep the tree rats away. Havent had a squirrel problem since.
