Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default The Most Recent Iowa Debates

There were debates among the candidates this week, with Fred Thompson & Barak Obama "winning" per the pundits. I didn't get to watch either debate, however what I've read gave the "Wow" moments to Fred & Barak. Fred's response to the moderator on the silly "show of hands" request has become an instant classic, as has Barak's response of "looking forward" to being advised by Hiliary. Anyone see the debates, read the transcripts, or just have something to add?

No, i refuse towatch the so called "debates." None of the candidates from either party ever address the important questions:What to do about cheap junk from China, illegal aliens, the economy, and other important issues. All the candidates from both party's claim to be a disciples of Christ.

That is pretty funny because I have read somewhere that Hillary is the devil. The problem I have with all the debates is the questions that were posed. Asking a candidate what ball team he or she favors is a waste of time. To much dancing around making a firm mark in the sand that the candidates could be called to task in the future. I would love to see them all lined up on a stage isolated from one another without the ear buds and assistants feeding them data. Both parties there and one rule....no bashing the others just give an answer to the question. Then have some political science professor ask each one a question and get their response. Start with National Security, the war, illegals, economics and all the other real subjects that need firm answers to without all the partisan rhetoric. Let the voters see who has the real answers not just all campaign answers fed to them by their aids. There has to be one candidate who is head and shoulders above the rest. That person should be our nation"™s leader for the next 4 years. Forget the big money and corruption that seems to dictate who wins. Think about how qualified Hillary really is. She was married to a president and is a rooky Congress person. That makes her qualified to run the country? Without all the money and the political machine that has been working over time in her behalf ever since her husband"™s term ended, she wouldn"™t be there. I hate the thought that someone could buy their way into elected office but that is how she got to the Congress which was just a stepping stone to what we see happening today. My only hope is that as the electoral process continues her standing will start to plummet as the other candidates start to catch up.

I think the debate was way too structured, and too confining, for the candidates to talk their points. They stayed low profile. I don't see it affecting Iowa caucuses, let alone national campaigns.
