German official seeks ban on Scientology

I agree with this guy regarding Scientology. Yet, I certainly appreciate the First Amendment and would notban the practice of any religion. Criminal acts committed in the name of religion are not immune from prosecution, and that's what's most important in maintaing law and order.

They should ban all the other religions while theyre at it. Scientology is no more ridiculous than the rest.

The constant labeling and bashing gets real old. So someone please explain to me why the counter logic is not applied.

I saynothing to those who profess no faith and try to lead by example. The worse I"™ve ever said is, "œIll pray for you". But im labeled a zelic. I guess I"™m just way to offensive.

If this had been done in some type Athiest org. you would see alot more police activity then you did with the RCC, that's for sure.

Mybet is NAMBLA is made up primarily of those who have no religion whatsoever. We hear about them all the time, right? Would it be fair to use that group as an example of all adult males with no religious beliefs?

You do paint with a broad brush Charlie. My bet is just about everyonewith any type of religious beliefs were offended and disgusted by that occurance, but as far as we know that was a comparably microscopic sample of the whole. IMO, the "leaders" who helped keep the offenders out of trouble should have been publicly flogged.

Just keep in mind that not all of us who have religious beliefs have national or international "leaders", anda great many of the ones that do aren't really represented by them or even pay them any attention. It's just the perverts who get the press time.
