Funny how they even continue making predictions on how bad it's going to get decades from now,when they can't even forecast hurricanes anywhere near accurate a mere few months in advance.

I have a friend who remember from years back how good he felt and how good life was after he went to confession. So he was down in the dumps and decided that's what he needed to do was go and spill his guts and repent. He fiqured on about 5 Our Father's and 5 Hail Marys. His pentince was 6 months of daily mass. You know he never missed a day. He made the 6 am mass everyday before he went to work. He did feel better and his life is doing well, but to hear him recite his thoughts and his beliefs as to his pentince before he went. It's absolutely one of the funniest stories.

This is one of the interesting angles on global warming. Suppose you accept it, what is the answer, what is the right response? How do we allocate the allowable amount of CO2 emissions? Can I vent 20 times as much as someone living in Ethiopia . . . if I can afford the energy cost? Do we have to get Americans to sign on to reducing their cabon signature to the level of people in China and/or India to get those countries on board with limiting their carbon emissions? I wonder how many people in the US would still be on board with the global warming bandwagon if they had to actually live with 1/4 their current amount of energy consumption. Not likely. Driving, heating your house, cooling your house, lighting your house, watching your TV, heating water for twice daily showers (I showered twice today -- once before work, once after coming home from work and working out), lighting the Christmas tree lights and the outside house Christmas tree lights, bussing teams to other towns for sporting events.
You all are letting me down!
