Is Oprah racist? Over 10 candidates and she picks the only black one.

I'm sorry, but if all but one of the candidates was black, and a white talk show host supported the white candidate, the word racist would be thrown about willy nilly. This is just another example of the double standard accepted without scrutiny.

I agree with you 100%. These days, i guaranteethat the white male is discriminated against more than any other race or gender.I guess thats just the way it goes.

I support 100 percent her right to back the black candidate. However I agree it has to work both ways and In this area there is certainly a double standard or reverse discrimination.

Oprah's self-portrayalof enlightened female blackness is her bread and butter. She'll most certainly stick with black candidates first, liberal female candidates second, and Bill Clinton third.

Oprah has the depressed housewife demographicnailed, but I think a lot of those women were probably going to the Democrats anyway.

no, she isnt racist. she would like all the canidates to be black. makes you wonder if we would hear who she would vote for then.... wouldnt be an issue, and she would have to find some other "wagon" to push.

She could do what she's done in all the other elections in the past and not campaigned for anyone. Coming out in the emphatic way she has is very telling, and I agree with the others who posted replies in this thread about the situation.
