I can cut gas consupmtion by 15% right now
Not only gas consumption, I can cut greenhouse emmissions, accidents/deaths, my solution cuts back on traffic issues, increase family time, better improve employee attitudes ..... can anyone guess how ?

Spend 15 percent more time in the backyard sitting in a lawnchair drinking beer.
I do that already and my wife complains. Any advice on braking the news to her that I need to increase the time spent on sitting around and drinking beer?

Telecommuting/Work from home (You can do this while in the backyard, sitting in a lawn chair, drinking beer)
With the blackberry (I love the blackberry) from the treestand in the woods. Hunt next to the highway and it's just like being on the job where I can take confrence calls and not worry about the deer hearing me.

thats 46-48 days a year people won't be driving to work. Those days will be spent home most likely, not driving around, more time with the family. Less wear and tear on vehciles, less pollution by autos, less traffic.
figure up how much gas you use per day, then tell me the total savings per year if you only went to work 4 days a week. How much % of your net income did you just save ? 1/2 a house payment ? a full house payment maybe ? Certainly several hundred dollars, and if you drive more than 30 miles one way, or have a gas hog ? You'll be looking to "save" $400-500 or more
why businesses don't do this baffles me, its a win-win-win situation with relatively no drawbacks
Schools have wanted to do that to save money, but that screws up parent's child-care situation. A shift in the work-force would have to precede a shift in the education shcedule.

Nah, wouldnt' save much, people for some reason work and work to make thier house into a funhouse with surround sound, and pool tables, but still do not like to stay home. It would be like a busy sat., people would just go shopping or going out to eat. Or I would proabalby have the time to drive to some stands on the Eastern Shore of MD, hunting.
