With the house being taken over by democrats, I don't see it as being an order. The only way the president could get around the house is if Iran presents clear and present danger, but he could then only send the Marines and Special Forces. And just sending them in would be like going to war with one hand tied behind your back against a militant country such as Iran. Their leader is smart, he is a true politician, he will not attack the US outright, he may condone the action through somewhere else, but he would not threaten his country with our bombs, because he knows we would bring a hellfire.

Folks, we do not have enough military troops to invade Catalina Island. All the US could do is to bomb Iran's nuclear bomb making facilities. That would be guaranteedto spark a full scaled invasion of Iraq by Iranian crazies. We do not have enough troops on the ground to take care of a situation like that. Nor can we get enough troops on the ground.
Like it or not,the US is working with a very tired military: The troops are worn out and the equipment is worn out.You can thank Big Daddy Bush, Klinton and the US congress for the gutting of the US military. Eight Army divisions went away: They went away so that the money could be spent on "social issues" and to provide tax cuts for the fat cats.
