That's a horrible tax. Huckabee already tried sales taxes in Arkansas. Prices go up, not down. Fairtaxers try to pass off that retirees will be paying the same price for goods and services even though it's suppose to be revenue neutral and generate 500 billion or so for the prebate. If a 23% sales tax can get 2.9 trillion, then a 22% embedded tax can get 2.9 trillion. The corporate tax only gets 250 billion or so and not all of it gets passed on. Not to mention, a 23% sales tax exempting businesses is definitely not going to bring in 2.8 trillion. Rich people would be taxed on a small portion of their income, and they have most of the money. Huckabee is also waaay off on the figures for how much the current tax system cost. He says 1 trillion but the IRS budget was only 10 billion.
Who is they??? The people of the State of which he was Governor? I have lived here for many , many ( 40 + ) years, and I hate to break it to you but we do not, and never have called him that. The taxes that were raised in this state, we allowed him to raise, by voting for them in referendum. He passed a big sales tax for the benefit of outdoor recreation, hunting and fishing, stste parks upkeep, etc... after he asked the voters about it, and we approved the measure in a general election ballot initative.....
If you are going to open your mouth, at least know what you are talking about. Quit posting other peoples work and opinions, and do a little work and get study the FACTS and get an opinion of your own.
It is your constant shoving of R.P. down peoples throats, and the incessant maligning of other candidates that makes it even more definite that I would never back him for office. Huckabee's surge in the polls was one of the best things that could happen to the Ron Paul campaign. Just spreads out the pro-war vote even more.
They don't undertsand that part. I am all for huck staying in the race and getting votes. More diluted the % will be...RP the ONLY bring them home right now candidate will win hands down...
Again maybe you all should check to see what % of the American population wants our troops home now and by the end of 2008.

Haven't seen you making posts about Huckabee releasing a rapist or murderer lately either .... telling everyone it is a fact.... but if ya got that much free time coming up , vacation ya know, why don't ya come on down to arkansas and visit me..... let me show ya what the state is really all about. You could meet a bunch of people who you believe were let down , ashamed, and taxed to death by Huckabee, and they can express their own sentiments about the matter to you directly. I personally have no problem with criticism , as long as it is honest and truthful.... which with you it has not been either, so come on down.... I have plenty of vacation time too, and we can hang out together for a bit.
That is if you are not too busy heading to the R.P. campaign office to polish his gonads....
Aren't you boys wasting your time with the constant Huckabee bashing? You better get started on Giuliani and Romney. Primaries are just around the corner, and you want to get them tore down so you can start on Thompson, Tancredo, Hunter and the rest of the Republican field that is polling ahead of Paul.
