Default Get use to high Gas Prices!!!!!

This comes from the Great Charles Shumer,

High prices are here to stay in the next few years China vwill own and drive more cars then the US. We need to wien ourselves off fossil fuels and up the payment amounts in aid for heating oil assistance.

Did Chucky boy fail economics? Does he not know how much oil we use each and everyday? Why doesn't he understand if there is tightning supply, you increase supply? Unfortunately, Chucky and the rest of the Dems love high fuel prices. It gives them ammo to tax us more and give it away.

And if China keeps on upping it's demands for oil what will happen to the market.

How should we do that? You keep saying by drilling our own oil right? Isn't is true the stuff in Anwar is a very low grade crude? Where are the refinaries going to be built? Everyone has a not in my back yard menatality when it comes to things like refineries and chemical plants don't they?

Can you force OPEC to pump more oil?

Or should we find WMD in Venazula??/

That Anwar comment is a new one on me. Hmmm usually they like to say there is only a 6 month supply. Please post your info on that. Have you ever stopped to think how much money from OPEC countries flow into the pocket of those who keep us from drilling? Have you ever wondered just how much money does come from OPEC to keep us shut down?

We have Anwar, Deep Water Gulf, Off Both Coasts and we have our vast coal reserves we can ose for gasoline. As far as refineries, we build them in Mexicxo across the border. If we don't care to do it, somebody else will. Right now because we don't care about high gas prices, we'ree letting China drill less than 100 miles off our coast. How does that make you feel?

It wasn't a comment it was a question.

Once again your solution?

Well since our goverment doesn't build refineries you'll have to discuss that with the oil companies.
Which brings us back to this question.

Well it's not a very low grade crude it's a meduim grade with a sulfur content. From ANWR.org.

The price of oil is determined on the world free market. Currently US consumption of petroleum products is nearly at 98% of its refinery supply capacity. A new refinery hasn"™t been built in America for over 30 years and yet America"™s consumption has increased dramatically. A situation that puts increased pressure on an already volatile market. The price of oil also varies by the type of oil (ANS, West Texas Intermediate, Brent, etc. ) which is often associated with the quality of oil from a specific geographic area. There are over 121 types of oil traded today. Some, like WTI, have fewer impurities and thus easier refining capabilities than others. Alaska"™s ANS crude is of a medium grade with higher impurities and sulfur content than WTI oil.

You can drill all you want our refineries are at a 98% capicity and the Alaskan oil isn't that much cheaper then the oil we are importing.
Quote:
October 29 - World oil prices hit record levels today with the all time high price of $93.20pb recorded for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude. Alaskan oil prices (Alaska North Slope or ANS West Coast) rose correspondingly from $91.56 on Friday to $92.23 per barrel today. By comparison the average price for ANS over the last 10 years has been $31.15

So even if we do start to build refineries in Mexico it would be a few years before we could use them and that would mean we had better get used to high gas prices right?

BTW, Who do you think will pay for the exploration, drilling and building of the refineries? Even when the oil companies are recording record profits our goverment is giving them money.

The Brazillians have supposedly just discovered a new patch of light sweet crude that's supposed to be around 8B bbls just off the coast from Rio De Janeiro, too bad we don't have the capability to refine it.

Which will lower the price how. WTI and AWR oil are trading very close to the price of OPEC oil.
