i just got a call from school telling me i have to bring a new shirt in for my youngest son (age 9).

today was dress down day, where they don't have to wear their uniforms. he apparently chose to wear his "Republicans for Voldemort" t-shirt. he was sent to the principal's office, where the principal informed him him his shirt was inappropriate.

she tells me he looked her in the eye and said "why, you think the shirt might be offensive to voldemort?"

all issues of partinsaship aside, you gotta admit the kid's got stones.

My son wore a T-shirt with this on the back and a gun on the front. The prinicipal told him to turn it inside out because it might offend some one. My son's reply why do we have Terroists in trhe school. When I went into school for aconference I wore mine.

My daughters pre-K teacher wore a shirt to school that was offensive to my wife. After hearing about it that morning for a little over an hour, I loaded up and drove over to the school. I was surprised to see this teache with a huge cleavage hanging out in front of this class. I then proceeded to the Principles office to see if I was toold enrollmentfor Pre-K.

But on the less thoughtful side, The state of Alabama has a ban on Dixie Tee shirts. I love how the freedom of speech has turned into offense. I am offended when most politicians open their mouths. I am offended when my daughter is taught history without it being correct. I am offended by the anti-gun psychobabble of public education, and these idiot politicians we pay. I am offended by the amount of violence that police are supposed to protect us from, but rather hide. I am offended by those that profit from the oil crisis, food waste, religious teaching. I am offended when I hunt all day to eat and have to drive through PETA people willing to allow others to go hungry.
But this is the American way right.
