I find it incredible that this seven year old drew the stick figure, gave it to another kid, and the other kid's parents then complained to the school. I've got a whole bunch of interesting adjectives in mind, but, I've been soundly chastised in the past for using one of the milder ones...
I can understand a zero tolerance rule concerning the possession by a seven year old of an actual firearm at school. That makes perfectly good sense. But, this incident, it seems to me, violates the kid's 1st Amendment rights, since artistic expression is a form of free speech. I guess this may be an attempt to indoctrinate kids to hate guns, so that when "they" attempt to rid the Constitution of the 2nd Amendment, no one will care...
You are probably right. Start brainwashing them to think guns are bad at an early age. There is a 30% chance they will grow up to become a registered voter some day.
