Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default What a coward

People like this make me sick. Way to use your religion as cover for your cowardice. Thoughts?

I think that this was just a ploy to get that West Point education. That $200,000 scholarship. You know, if you drop out while there, you have to pay some of that back. but he graduated, and now gets that prestigous diploma too. They should have made him stay in as a Chaplin then.

The Army should have the right to garnish his wages until his academy tuition is repaid.

I respect the right to conscienciously object. It is not necessarily cowardice. In this case, it seems to be either cowardice or a scam, as many here state, to get a free, top notch education.

There's no reason for conscietious objectors to not serve out their obligations in the military- there are other things they could do that doesn't involve shooting at the enemy.

He should have to repay part of his tuition. Not sure what the West Point contract is like, but, I suspect they look formore than 2 1/2 years of service after graduation.

Well, it sounds like he made this decision after he served. Not sure you can call someone a coward after.

Well, if he serious, nothing wrong with it. Jesus Christ first, country second.

But soemthing sure doesnt' smell right here. He could easily do the work that Jesus Christ has called us to do in the military. Imagine all the witnessing he could have done in the military. Or work at field hospitals.

The amish pull this crap and that angers me.

I will be a happy man, if I get out of this world without taking a life.

Of course if he's not serious, he is taking the Lord's name in vain.

Well, I sure wouldn't want to be him before the judgement seat. But then again, I will have my own problems giving my account.
