Default Some really good news!

Saw on the morning news that Fred Thompson is now second in national polls after Giuliani. I am keeping my fingers crossed. (Makes it kinda hard to type though.)

Got news for you honey.. It means squat.. Might want to check out a better idea who is leading the pack by looking at the straw polls thats been going on and not the MSM..
These candidates are just diluting the water between the top war mongers.. The more war mongers to divide the votes amongst the republicans, Increases Ron Paul chance of victory.. He is the only candidate that can beat hillary or obama..
Peoples going to have to face the truth...
The Dems and with a large group of Republicans want out of Iraq... Ron Paul is the only Republican who is willing to withdrawl our troops and bring them home.. Every other Rep candidate wants to stay in Iraq and or go to war with Iran.. If anyone other than Ron Paul gets the nominations.. Hillary or Obama will be your next president.. Do the math.. It is guaranteed a Dem president if Ron Paul doesn't get a nomination... 75%+ wants out of Iraq.
The way I look at it.. Hillary and obama will bring the troops home and you will loose more of your freedoms and still pay 50% of your income to the government.. Atleast with Ron Paul you make money and you gain more freedoms... Don't fudge this up I have to say,Or you are going to loose more than you ever thought... Just a warning all and something to think about....

Here's some more news, sweetie. Ron Paul doesn't have a snowball's chance. And, contrary to what Paul groupies like to tell us, he isn't the only candidate out there who is deserving of someone's vote. Why is it that every online conversation about the presidential race has to include one of Paul's supporters telling everybody else that they're crazy for not supporting their third-tier candidate?

Wheres your evidence ben that he is a 3rd tier candidate? Maybe you should look at some straw poll numbers also? Maybe you should see he is the only candidate who increased his money by 114% and the rest of the candidates went down hill on the 3rd quarter.. Show us your proof he is a 3rd tier candidate? He is surpassed McCaine now and McCain was a top dog candidate..
Again look at the online polls and the fox poll.. And the straw polls and the money he has generated.. 3rd tier na.. If you was correct, I would agree with you. But you are way off I do have to say.. But you must believe that spammers are responsible for his polls and the money he has raised? Sorry that you can't see he is a contender.. You can deny it all you want bud... But he is a contender and what I wrote above as he is the only chance the republicans have.. You know that his followers will be enough to win the nomination? What can't you understand about the top tier divideing the votes amongst them?
Let me help you do the math some. 5 contenders 50 votes. Ron paul takes 13
divide the other 37 amongst the other 4 contenders.. They have gave Ron paul the nomination.. This is what is going to happen .. I invite more republican candidates to join in would be nice.. Ron Paul allready has enough supporters to win the nomination if none drop out of the race.. If tancredo drops out, Guess where his votes go to? Ron Paul.. Snowball, Might want to rethink that again..

If you believe in the constitution and smaller government and don't think the government should take care of us from cradle to grave then yes.. Ron Paul is the onlly worthy candidate that deserves the votes..

Honey? Sweetie? Gee, you guys are really affectionate on this forum.

I agree, Ron Paul has no chance whatsoever.

I also agree that the polls are not completely accurate at predicting election results. But I think it's better to be moving up in the polls rather than down.

In spite of the difficulty in typing, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Thompson-Huckabee ticket.

David, refresh my memory: Which straw polls has Paul faired well in, with the exception of online "straw polls" that masquerade as a real poll?

As for fundraising, he's raised $3 million through 2 quarters, putting him fifth among the Republican candidates. So he had more cash on hand than McCain after the 2nd quarter. His $3 million fundraising is well short of McCain's $25 million, not to mention Rudy Giuliani's $37 million and Mitt Romney's $44 million. And when Thompson reports for the first time Oct. 15, he will surpass Paul and knock Paul back to sixth among the GOP candidates.

The 3rd quarter preliminary numbers do show that Paul has done significantly better, with $5 million raised, but he still trails behind all the GOP front-runners for 3rd quarter funding.

Ron Paul will not win a single state. He will not come close to winning any state.

Ron Paul is the republican Dennis Kusinich.

About Fred Thompson, does he ever not look tired? Does he ever sound energetic or excited about anything? Can't see a candidate, seemingly bored with life, winning the majority of votes of the American people.
