Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 2nd amendment

http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2007/10/a-liberals-lame.html

is the tide turning positively on the second amendment? anecdotally, at all of the secret liberal, secular humanist meetings i attend, i have noticed more folks falling in line with Turley's viewpoints.

(don't worry though...we still discuss how to coddle terrorists, further illegalimmigration, promoteflag burning, destroy christianity, and generallyfurther disintegrate the moral fabric of our nation in other areas.)

Well, we have a conservative top court and the liberals in congress very well remember their thrashing on this issue. So we may be fine for now.

It's an election year. They just want to take the pressure off long enough for us to stop thinking gun control is a major issue. Though they may sometimes behave like retards, the liberals are smart enough to know when to lay low on an issue.

It looks like DC is taking a foolish chance and will lose.

It seems as though we've been riding a wave these past few years, but there's no telling what lies in the future. If Congress jumps to the left in 2008, we could see all kinds of new gun control in the works. And don't forget that H.R. 2640 is still in the Senate.

But yes, with a massive federal government, the threat of international terrorism andmobsof angry security moms, gun control is certainly less popular to talk about.

It just amazes me some people cant read plain English. States are not given rights they are given powers . Only the people are given rights.

Good point Boysda, nice to see some in the "intellegentsia" understand that the basic English of "the people" means the same "the people" throughout the constitution & bill of rights...

Really can't sit back too much, as we've seen the damage done to freedoms is done incrementally, not all @ once & not to everyone @ once.

I guess it's nothing new for them to show their foolishness to the rest of the country.
