HARTFORD, Conn. "” Lawyers for 10 Latino men arrested in Danbury in the past year filed a civil rights lawsuit Wednesday, accusing city and federal officials of a plot to harass immigrants through illegal arrests and intimidation.
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in New Haven, alleges authorities violated the plaintiffs' constitutional rights to due process, equal protection, free speech, free association and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures.
Nine of the 10 were arrested during a sting targeting day laborers, while the 10th was arrested during an unrelated traffic stop.

Sure they should have rights!! They have the right to take their #%# back to $%#$ Mexico!! Blame the Republicans for Nafta and blame the Democrats for keepin them here.
Why don't we just give them all the money and land Ted Kennedy and his liberal friends own, and move Ted and Company's &^%'s back to Mexico in their place!!

Its unfortunate but apparently they have more rights then legal americans. It all boils down to democrats wanting the votes thats why they want them here. They dont give a crap about theamerican people as long as they get the votes. If they did this whole issue would have been dead the first time the american people shot it down.

If they are illegal they should be deported with no rights. We as tax paying American citizens have a right to have our sovernty protected. Close the borders first then round them up take a photo with finger prints and send them home. A repeat appearance should warrent stiff jail time with hard labor. I would rather see our tax money spent that way than to provide them and their families welfare.

The can't hold are regular job either...according to the law and yet they do both in great quantity.
StillHunter 90 got it right. Politicians are scared of them because they now represent the larges voting block of minorities in the US...and they vote more regularly than most.

Yes, non-citizens in the US have rights under our constitution. Do you think they could be convicted and executed without a trial? That doesn't sound like our American ideals.
But I would like the board to ponder this, in addition to the fact that we can't export 11 million people; if there were no business utility to having a low wage work force in the US, they would not be here. The present situation could not have occurred without the connivance of big business, landscapers, agribusinessmen and meat packers, to name a few. So conservatives can bemoan the situation all they want but the number of undocumenteds in this country is because we find some use in having that many undocumented workers in this country.
