Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Democrats honor the sporting man (and woman)
-From www.politico.com

Democrats will show Republicans later tonight that they care more about the sportsmen of America than the traditionally hunter-happy GOP.

The House will vote Monday night on two noncontroversial measures introduced by Democrats - freshmen Reps. Christopher P. Carney of Pennsylvania and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York - applauding the hunters of America for their commitment to conservation and safety while killin' stuff.

Meanwhile, Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey of Georgia offers his own ode the sporting man (and woman) by introducing a separate noncontroversial measure on the suspension calendar to applaud the Hunters for the Hungry program to "decrease hunger and help feed those in need" - again, by killin' stuff, I presume.

The Carney measure recognizes hunters across the U.S. for their "continued commitment to safety." And the Gillibrand legislation encourages participation in hunting and fishing while also tipping the cap to sportsmen everywhere for wildlife consevation.

Democrats have bent over backwards in recent years to show anglers, gun-lovers and outdoorsmen (and women) of every stripe that they, too, will protect the right of Americans to bear arms of any caliber in their pursuit of fresh air, tranquility and another pelt for the living room wall.

But what's next?Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) doing duck calls from the EastFront of the Capitol?
