It is surprising how true to form politicians are. They often follow their caricatures almost as if following a script -- and I mean Republicans too!
In this instance, Democrats have long gained power from giving largesse to the less successful among us, thereby buying their vote. Pretty effective if obvious strategy. Just take it from them that have it and give it to them that don't have it, and those folks are going to give your their vote to keep on gettin' those handouts!!!
Another huge government beaurocracy with a hundreds of billion dollar annual budget . . . just what we need.

The Republicans racked up a pretty good debt that we need to pay for. The problem is, the Demos are not going to raise tax to pay off the debt, they are raising tax to pay for ear marks and special programs. When the Demos get in office, im going to quit working so you all can support me.

Im sure you can remember, ipscshooter, when hillary tried to pass here social health care reform in the 90s. It was shot down by a democratic congress as well as by her husband. Just think of what will happen if she gets in office.

I'm a little curious as to what you think will happen to "revenues" if a tax increase is implemented.Tax decreases have always been followed by an increase in revenues. I would expect that stealing hundreds of billions of dollars through tax increases will result in pushing the country further towards or into arecession which would result in decreased revenues.

Neither of them can't seem to quit spending. If only they didn't vote for all of the social programs that have no justification of being there. We could cut tax rates to a more resonable rate and watch this economy really boom.

Your right, Demos in = revenue down. We can all remember the montra of the Demos, "tax and spend". To bad the spending is for useless crap or pocket padders. Pluse, you raise tax, revenue has to go down. No extra cash to spend.
Republicans in = revenue up, but spending is up as well. Spending can change though. Most of the spending has been due to war.
What I worry about is all the pork we are going to be seeing with the Demos. Everything has an earmark before it can pass. Every Demo has to gethis piece of the pie. Its sickning. A recession is in order, and could be a good thing. Might just help balance the market and weed out the fly by night buisnesses that have no real merit to exist. Might just be what is needed to fix the housing market. Yea, it will suck at first for a lot of people, but we created the problem, sometimes the cure is not what we want to hear. Not everyone can afford a 200k house.
