I'm not sure of the map I'm seeing. I've got a call into miss teen SC. I'll get back to you.

In the first presidential debate ever broadcast in Spanish, the protracted war in Iraq competed for attention with the swirling argument over immigration.
Clinton criticized the immigration bill proposed in the last Congress, dominated by Republicans. That legislation would have penalized those who help illegal immigrants. "I said it would have criminalized the good Samaritan. It would have criminalized Jesus Christ," she said.
That the Democrats participated in the Spanish-language debate is the clearest sign yet of the growing influence of Hispanic voters. The candidates are reaching out to Hispanics with an intensity that speaks to the importance of the nation's largest and fastest-growing minority group in the campaign.
I think you are on to something RH. The Dems. are about to have a debate broadcast in Spanish, and I don't even think your map should be bilingual. I think illegal immigration is the one issue that the majority of the country really cares about. What better way to distinguish yourself in an election than to bring it down to terms as simple as your map. There are so many one line zingers that can be used here. One of them might be,
"Theseshould be thefirst two English wordsone must learn and acceptontheir way to legally immigrating to our country."
"Your's-Not Your's"
If the republicans follow suite, and have a spanish, or bilingial debate I will probably puke. They should take this hanging curve ball and hit it out of the park and make a true distinction in this presidential race.
Just pull out the map.
RH you are a genious. Maybe you should apply for Rove's old job.

How can a minority that is not legal residents of this country vote in our elections? Twenty million people who aren't legal residents mean nothing if they can't vote, but now we understand the headlong rush to legitimize them, don't we?

I guess they have to get the votes from somewhere.
Maybe it is harder for them to get the deceased registered voter vote.
They will take any vote they can get, legally or illegally. Just make sure the overseas military absentee ballots are legal and legit.

Not all hispanics are illegals. There are millions and millions that are legal and can legally vote and who view anti-illegal rhetoric as anti-Hispanic rhetoric. And when the Presidential election is decided by just a few hundred thousand votes, "millions and millions" is a good sized block to chase. And, of course, whichever party ends up passing the legislation that legalizes the 20 million that are here will be buying a lifelong voting block, sort of like the block that the Democrats bought in the 60's.
