I guess old Mr. Gore is going to have to miss out on his peace prize. There is tape of him traveling around on his personal Gulf stream jet. Talk about a gas guzzler.

I respect Begley. At least he walks the walk.He's fanatical, but not militant. That is, he is fanatical about his personal environmentalism, but from what I have seen of him, he doesn't go around telling others what they should do. He sets an example, and tries to teach others about his way of life. Heck, I might adopt some of his tips as finances permit. Nothing to odd ball, but rain barrels for watering the garden, the next water heater being a higher efficiency one (even if it costs more up front), light bulbs (started this already).
Its alright, as long as he keeps buying carbon credits frim HIS OWN company!!!! He's a joke, simple as that!!! [:@]

Jeepkid, the truth behind this is even worse than you think. Gore's company is an investment firm. The "offsets" he buys are actually investment in other companies. He owns those shares and can sell them. In essense, his "carbon offset" is nothing more than transfering his ownmoney form one account to another.
