Lets say that one of the first tier guys (Romney, Giulliani, Thompson, etc.) gets the Republican nomination (let's not argue which one quite yet). Who do you like as a VP selection -- especially from "second tier" candidates?
I like Huckabee. I'd like him as POTUS, but he wouldn't get nominated, nor whould he win an election. But for VP, I think he's a great choice.
Who do you like? How about guys (or gals) outside of the current nomination race -- any governors, senators, etc. for VP?
* I like Ron Paul, but he clearly doesn't stand a chance. I also agree with eto.... Huckabee is great, but not as Pres. He'd make an excellent VP though.
Edit: Rudy Baby, Romney, and (possibly) McCain are all RINO's and would do more harm than good. [:'(]
Here's my opinion on the GOP field, take it for what it's worth. (hopefully you won't think I'm either drunk, stoned, or just stupid, by my viewpoint... )
Rudy Baby Guiliani --- RINO. 'Nuff said. Mitt Romney --- RINO. 'Nuff said again. John McCain --- RINO. Ditto... Fred Thompson --- Stands an excellent chance. Good guy to have in our corner. I like him. Ron Paul --- Stands a good chance, but viewed as too extreme by some. I like him too. Mike Huckabee --- Stands a good chance, but has a better chance as VP. Great guy, solid stance on issues, but being a baptist preacher might hurt him - i.e. from the pro-choice, freedom of religion, ANTI, crowd. Duncan Hunter --- No chance. Sam Brownback --- No chance. Tom Tancredo --- Absolutely no chance.

RE: First Tier, Second Tier, VP...
I like Huckabee right now and would like to know more about Thompson. Getting into the race so late and failing to enter the debates has hurt his image in my mind. I could vote for Thompson/ Huyckabee if Fred pans out. I do not like Rudy or McCain and feel Romney is going to be a player in the end[:@]
